This term in Art we have been studying 'Natural Art'. This has included a visit to the Tate Modern where we looked at sculptures made out of natural materials. We are now focussing our attention on the art of Andy Goldsworthy. We have looked at some of his sculptures made from natural materials and discussed his use of colours, shapes and lines. We then collected some of our own natural materials from Ruskin Park and used them to experiment with the different shapes and patterns we could make. Our final goal is the creation of our own natural material sculptures, which we shall be displaying in the Year Two Art Gallery! Please have a look at the pictures of us experimenting with the natural materials and then drawing our favourite creations, in preparation for our final pieces!
