Year Two had a brilliant time on their trip to the City of London. First we got the bus to St Paul's Cathedral where we sat on the steps outside and had a snack. We then walked all the way down Cannon Street until we arrived at the Monument. Did you know that the height of the Monument is exactly the same as the distance from the bottom of the Monument to Pudding Lane? We then climbed up the 311 steps (well, most of us did!) to the very top of the Monument, where we had a great view of London. The people below us looked very small, like tiny ants! Once we had climbed back down the steps we had our photos taken next to Pudding Lane, and then walked to London Bridge to get the bus back to school.
We all had a fantastic (and slightly chilly) day and would like to say a special thank you to the parents who came with us.
