On Thursday 17th October Year 2 went on a class trip to the Florence Nightingale Museum in St Thomas' Hospital. We got the bus up to the hospital where we sat and ate our lunch in the sunshine overlooking the River Thames and Houses of Parliament. We then walked to the museum, where we were greeted by Florence herself! She asked us to sit down infront of her fireplace and then told us the story of her life. We all listened really well to her story and then asked some excellent questions. After that we split up into groups to do the different activities Florence had organised for us, including looking at pictures of Scutari Hospital, handling artefacts and finding out about food. We also had a chance to look around the museum and find our favourite items on display.
