We all had a brilliant time at the London Transport Museum on Thursday. We were lucky enough to have a session with the 'Time Lord' Roy Royce who took us on a journey into the past! We were transported through the 'time tunnel' back to London 1900, where we stood on Waterloo Bridge and saw all the horses and carts pulling goods across the bridge. It was really smelly! After that we went to the Victorian era where we boarded one of the first electric underground trains. Did you know that these trains didn't have windows because the Victorian people were scared of being underground? Finally we were transported back to the present day where we had the chance to explore the museum. There were so many exciting vehicles to investigate and displays to look at the children hardly knew where to go first! When asked what their favourite part of the trip was, the over-riding answer was 'everything!' (with a few 'lunch-times' for good measure!). A big thank you to those who took the time to accompany us on the trip it is greatly appreciated.
