The Challenge: To design and make a vehicle that could safely transport an egg down a steep ramp! Many of Lambeth's finest eggs were in danger today as Year 2 were given the challenge of making a vehicle for their egg using only a few old cereal boxes and newspapers. They also had to measure and saw the wooden axle for their vehicle before attaching the wheels and decorating/customising the vehicle. The children then met their egg, which they named and christened (with such eggsellent names as Eggbert and Shelley. No Yoko-Ono's though, despite Miss Scudder's best attempts...). The children were then made to cruely put their newly christened eggs into serious danger as they placed the vehicle at the top of a steep(ish) ramp and let go! I am pleased to report that all eggs made it safely down the ramp, although we did have a few casualties in transit...
All-in-all we had a eggstra eggsellent time!
