Key question: Why did Jesus teach the Lord's Prayer as a way to pray?
In this unit we will be studying the Lord's Prayer and what it means to Christians. The lessons will cover two key aspects:
Learning about religion: I can explain why the Lord’s Prayer is important to Christians.
Subsequent targets:
- I can understand God as “Father” in the Lord’s Prayer;
- I can remember, at least, part of The Lord’s Prayer and say some things that Christians believe about temptation;
- I can explain that The Lord’s Prayer and understand praise and eternity in the Lord’s Prayer;
- I can remember and understand The Lord’s Prayer.
Learning from religion: I can talk about who looks after me.
Subsequent targets:
- I can talk about what is important to them and to other people.
- I can talk about what is important to me and to others, (what I need) with respect for their feelings.
- I can talk about what is important to me and to other people with respect for their feelings.
- I can talk about what is important to me and to others with respect for their feelings.
