Aims: Children are empowered to go out into the world, re-see, collect and re-present through drawing.
Outcomes: To give pupils the opportunity to practice their observation and mark-making skills in a large scale drawing.
Key skills:
Exploring composition by collecting and arranging things from natural world to create collages.
Using careful looking to practise observational drawing.
Creating different types of lines by exploring ways of holding a drawing tool, applying pressure, and moving at different speeds.
Combining different drawing media such as wax resist and watercolour, graphite and water, oil pastel and pencil.
Drawing small in a sketchbook and large on sheets of paper.
