In this unit, the children will be learning how to:

  • Ask questions about what objects are made from

  • Understand why some materials feel different or behave differently

  • Explore materials through touch, sight, and simple tests

  • Look closely at materials

  • Use senses safely to describe properties (e.g. hard, soft, smooth)

  • Noticing similarities and differences
