Geography - Farms
Key question: How important are farms?
We will begin by locating the UK and India on a map and fining out which continents they are in. We will then learn about the features of farms in the UK and how they are similar and different to farms in India. We'll learn about how the seasons affect farms in both countries. Below are the skills we will be covering:
Locational Knowledge
- I can name and locate the seven continents of the world
- I can name and accurately locate the five oceans of the world
Place Knowledge
- I can locate hot and cold areas of the world in relation to the Equator and North and South Poles
- I have studied a small area in the U.K and in a non-European country and are able to confidently identify similarities and differences in human and physical geography
Human and Physical Geography
- I can identify seasonal and daily weather patterns
- I can locate hot and cold areas of the world in relation to the Equator and North and South Poles
Geographical Skills and Fieldwork
- I can use maps, atlases and globes confidently to identify studied regions
- I can use simple compass directions confidently
