Key Learning Question: What can we do to help the environment?
Scientific Enquiry Focus: Research using secondary sources
In this unit we will learn about the 3 R's - REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. We will think about how these things help they environment and ways in which we can do them. We will research the causes and effects of climate change, and find out about renewable energy.
By the end of the topic pupils should be able to:
- Explain what reduce, reuse and recycle mean and how we can do them in our everyday life.
- Find out what plastics are and how they can be recycled.
- Say why plastics are a problem.
- Talk about what we can we do to help.
